If you’ve ever felt stuck in your life, you’ll KNOW what I’m talking about…
Like you’re just going around and around in circles, asking for answers but not really moving…anywhere.
It could come up in your work life, your love life, friendships, your health, your fitness goals, mental wellbeing or something else…or all of the above!
Everything just feels blocked, like you’re in a maze and can’t find the way out.
If you’re in that space right now, listen closely…
Feeling directionless or ‘stuck’ is not bad.
Yep, you read that right.
The problem arises when we make that cloudiness or confusion a problem we need to ‘fix’, instead of an opportunity to be curious.
Those periods of confusion or clouded-ness have ALWAYS led me to deeper clarity in life, love, business & my yoga practice.
Because, once you realise that ‘stuck’ is even the emotion that you’re feeling, and decide it’s time to release yourself, it offers up an opportunity many of us never realise that we have the ability to take:
To pause, reflect and DECIDE on the next step that feels the most aligned FOR YOU…then actually take a step forwards towards that.
It sounds scary, but it’s not really as BIG as it sounds. Over the years (and many ‘stuck’ moments) I’ve found a formula that transforms stuck-ness to freedom fast…
It goes a little something like this:
Get out of your head and into your body and breath.
When you connect to the presence of your body: you meet your intuition.
Listening to your intuition is how you’ll know the best next step to take.
(For me that’s yoga & meditation, obviously! Or it’s a case of crankin’ up some music and dancing like an idiot in my bedroom by myself.)
Ground yourself and journal it out. Just keep writing until it makes sense…and heres the key: be RADICALLY honest with yourself about what you really want.
Voice-note it in your phone if that feels more free to you, you just have to get what you’re feeling out of your body somehow
Trust that you are supported, and that you have everything you succeed (the talent, the skills etc)
This one can take a little longer to cultivate for some, but focusing on connect & reflect for a little while will get you there!
Just come back to you…and you’ll be half way there!
